Gemma makes beautiful soaps handcrafted with pure plant butters, oils & essential oils, each soap is created with intention to help you embrace moments of pause ~ a simple ritual to promote calm and everyday wellbeing 🌿💫

What a whirlwind couple of weeks it’s been! 💫

I’ve been working on something very exciting behind the scenes:
✨ You can now see (and buy!) my pottery in person at Fargo Village’s @indiemartcov ✨
It’s such a joy to have a physical space to share my work with you all.

In between prepping for that, I’ve been:
🌀 Teaching some incredibly talented people pottery
🏔️ Climbing mountains in the Lake District
🌊 Completing an aquatic management qualification (for the other job!)
🐾 And welcoming the most adorable little puppy into our home 😍

It’s been full-on, but full of good things. Grateful for it all 💛

1-to-1 Pottery Throwing Class – £35 per person

Discover the joy of working with clay in this hands-on, 1-to-1 pottery throwing session — perfect for beginners or anyone looking to improve their wheel skills.
During this 1.5 to 2 hour class, you’ll receive personal guidance as you learn the basics of throwing on the potter’s wheel. The aim is to create 2 to 3 vessels, which could include bowls, cups, or small vases, depending on your pace and interest.
Once your pieces are made, you can choose one of two finishing options:
🎨 Pick your glaze, and we’ll do the trimming and glazing for you🖌️ Or, pay a little extra to return for a trimming and glazing session, where you’ll learn to refine and finish your pieces yourself
Price includes the firing of up to 3 pieces. Want to keep more? No problem — extra pieces can be fired for an additional cost.
Duration: 1.5–2 hours
Cost: £35 per person
Includes: All materials, tools, tuition, and firing of up to 3 pieces
Optional return visit for trimming/glazing at extra cost

What looks like a simple pair of pots actually takes hours: throwing, trimming, drying, firing, glazing... and that’s just the making part.

Then there’s photographing them, writing listings, updating the shop, packing orders, heading to markets, and sharing it all here.

Come along to a hands on class where you will learn how to lino print! Throughout the class you will be guided on how to create and design your own stamps using Lino printing techniques, these stamps will then be used to print your very own tea towel which will be yours to keep at the end of the session! You will also be able to take home your handmade stamps and a kit list if you wish to pursue the hobby further

This is a 3 hour class, costing £35 with all materials, snacks and hot drinks included! So come along, learn a new skill, meet some new people and get crafty!

What a fantastic lino printing class!

It was such a joy to host and see so much creativity flowing. From bold florals to abstract patterns, everyone brought their own unique style and the results were amazing!
